The housing industry in the United States consists of mobile homes, modular homes, cabins and condos. Mobile homes are small, single or multiple unit homes designed for the purpose of traveling and living temporarily. Modular homes are large, one-family dwellings that are sold to buyers and assembled on site. In Canada, there are mobile homes called recreational vehicles, RV's. These homes are usually smaller than a typical home and their number is limited and sometimes not available at all. In the United Kingdom, there are recreational vehicles, also known as RVs, used by people on a long term vacation. This is not a type of home but a temporary place to stay.
